As part of its ongoing efforts to develop the transport sector and enhance digital services, the General Transport Authority has made significant strides by adopting the reuse approach¹. This initiative has led to substantial technical and financial savings², while also promoting a culture of collaboration and digital product sharing³ among government entities.
Reuse: A Foundation for Digital Sustainability
By leveraging digital solutions available in the government repository⁴, the General Transport Authority has successfully accelerated development processes, reduced effort and time, and enhanced operational efficiency.
Three reuse cases have been implemented:
- 1. Greeting Cards System from the Ministry of Tourism
- 2. Permits Platform from the General Authority for State Real Estate
- 3. Attendance and Leave Management System from the National Center for Waste Management
This reflects the authority’s commitment to adopting modern technologies⁵ to achieve a sustainable and impactful digital transformation.
Achieving Savings: Smart Utilization of Digital Resources
The reuse efforts have reduced technical costs and minimized the need to develop new systems from scratch⁶. This initiative is not only about cost reduction, but also about enhancing innovation and improving government service efficiency.
Towards a More Efficient and Integrated Digital Future
These achievements represent key milestones in the authority’s digital transformation journey, highlighting the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing⁷ in building a sustainable and efficient digital future, and strengthening integration among government entities to realize a modern digital vision.
